My main studio class this quarter is Bodywear, in which I will have to design and construct two bodywear pieces by the end of the quarter. In case you don’t know what bodywear is (and I didn’t really until last week), it’s the range of clothing that basically uses stretchy fabrics (lingerie, activewear, swimwear.) So I’ve been doing a bit of research and I stumbled across this lookbook for Michi, an activewear brand with the goal of making fashionable, yet still functional activewear. Here are some pictures from the Fall 2011 lookbook.

I like that it combines activewear with fashion. Just because you’re working out doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look fabulous!! For my bodywear project I want to do something that mixes lingerie with swimwear. We’ll see how that goes…
