Cali is the Mission

Hey guys! So sorry I haven’t been on in sooo long! I’ve been moving all over the country and all those good things. Anyway, just to update you, I’m currently living in the Mission district of San Francisco. I’m doing an internship out here that until about Christmastime. I’m absolutely loving it, and I LOVE living in the Mission. There are so many things to do.. all sorts of different food and people and BARS. <3 Here is a pic of me at our favorite go to spot on Valencia, called the Phoenix. We went to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival out here a few weeks ago and made some new friends, one of them being Sam, whose PERFECT grandpa sweater is featured in this photo. Can’t get enough of the grandpa sweaters.

Haight Ashbury

My roommate and I visited Haight Street this last weekend and explored around. I don’t know how/why I lived here without ever experiencing it before. It felt like home, with all the colors and the vibe.. and the shopping!! Got some awesome new glasses, and some vintage shirts… and some other clothes too haha.

Easter in San Francisco

My mom visited me in San Francisco this weekend so we could spend Easter together. We had so much fun just eating delicious meals and seeing the sights. We did some of the city tours just to get more familiar with the city since I don’t know much about it yet myself. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of different things we did or experienced.

At the Presidio Social Club for dinner.

Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair

Just moved to San Francisco for my latest internship with Simply She. I LOVE THIS CITY. Here is a picture of my beautiful, albeit small.. apartment.

Here’s a pic from my own little playing with mirrors adventure..

On The Run

So it’s taken me a little while to make this post, but here’s my little shpiddly about the Paul McCartney concert!
Really.. there are no words. Honestly, it’s not one of those experiences that I can really describe. For one, it was surreal that this man that I’ve listened to all my life and have seen in film clips or goofy Beatles movies was actually right there in front of me singing the songs that I’ve known and loved for years. He sang a whole mix of Beatles, Wings and original Paul McCartney pieces, and each one was phenomenal. It was like every time he started a new song, a wave of surprise and excitement filled the audience.
Not pleasant, however, were the large masses of people I had to fight to get my ($40!?!) t-shirt… but it was worth it by far.
Here are some pictures I took while I was there (only a small selection from the 70 or so I took.)

He was incredible. He did two encores (maybe three, I can’t really remember haha) and he just performed for three hours straight. He sounded just as amazing as he always has, and he never looked like he was running out of energy! It was really awesome to see a true performer who loves his music and could captivate the audience without having all sorts of flashy light shows, backup dancers and cheesy costume changes.
It was a 21st birthday present I’ll never forget!!

You Could Be My Yellow Springs

So Louis and I went on a trip to Yellow Springs, Ohio last week and I thought I’d share some pictures with you!! It was so beautiful there, I would definitely recommend going there at least once. The town is small and quaint, with lots of little boutiques and galleries. There are also trails and things you can go on to experience more of the nature side of things. We went hiking to see the Yellow Springs and they were gorgeous! (see below). It was a nice, relaxing little vacation for us to just spend time together before he leaves for the summer. :)

Most of the pictures are from our hike along one of the nature trails to see the Yellow Springs, but there are a few others that were taken during some of our other activities in town.

They still had crochet pieces remaining on a lot of the trees and posts around town.

This is Louis.

These are my hiking boots.

Here’s a close-up of the Yellow Springs. It was really pretty, and you can even drink the water!

On our last night, we went to the local bar called Peach’s Grill (I think..), and there was a cat hanging out on the patio with everybody. I petted it once and next thing I knew he came up and jumped on my lap and fell asleep for a while!! I wanted to take him with me.

Mission accomplished..

Flower Me Happy

Just got my amazing floral print Jeffrey Campbell’s in the mail!!! I’m in love.. I’m already planning the wedding.

My loversss.

new loves.

As you may know, I got excessive this past weekend and bought four pairs of shoes. I’ve been receiving requests to put them up on my blog, so here they are! I’m so in love with each and every pair, I can’t wait to wear them! I got a beautiful pair of yellow cowboy-esque boots that are so, so soft inside and out. They’re my consolation prize for the beautiful white Kenny Rogers cowboy boots that are in current need of repair. I also found this gorgeous pair of navy blue velvet shoes with a green ribbon brooch detail on top. I have no idea where I’ll wear them or what with, but they’re so unique and surprisingly comfortable and I just couldn’t pass them up. And then, my sweet lovely Sam Edelmans. They’re heaven in a shoe. And last but not least, the strappy stilettos I’ve been in the market for lately!

Born Crown boots.

Navy blue velvet Poetic Licence heels.

Peephole Toe Sam Edelman Platforms. <3

Last but not least, my sexy Bebe platform stiletto sandals!
