Easter in San Francisco

My mom visited me in San Francisco this weekend so we could spend Easter together. We had so much fun just eating delicious meals and seeing the sights. We did some of the city tours just to get more familiar with the city since I don’t know much about it yet myself. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of different things we did or experienced.

At the Presidio Social Club for dinner.

Ghirardelli Square.

Golden Gate Bridge.

Canolis in Little Italy.

Little Italy.

Bread and oil at The Stinking Rose garlic restaurant.

Fisherman’s Wharf.

On The Run

So it’s taken me a little while to make this post, but here’s my little shpiddly about the Paul McCartney concert!
Really.. there are no words. Honestly, it’s not one of those experiences that I can really describe. For one, it was surreal that this man that I’ve listened to all my life and have seen in film clips or goofy Beatles movies was actually right there in front of me singing the songs that I’ve known and loved for years. He sang a whole mix of Beatles, Wings and original Paul McCartney pieces, and each one was phenomenal. It was like every time he started a new song, a wave of surprise and excitement filled the audience.
Not pleasant, however, were the large masses of people I had to fight to get my ($40!?!) t-shirt… but it was worth it by far.
Here are some pictures I took while I was there (only a small selection from the 70 or so I took.)

He was incredible. He did two encores (maybe three, I can’t really remember haha) and he just performed for three hours straight. He sounded just as amazing as he always has, and he never looked like he was running out of energy! It was really awesome to see a true performer who loves his music and could captivate the audience without having all sorts of flashy light shows, backup dancers and cheesy costume changes.
It was a 21st birthday present I’ll never forget!!

Smiles Awake You When You Rise

Tonight as a 21st birthday surprise for me, my mom got us tickets to go see Paul McCartney live! I grew up listening to the Beatles and that’s something my mom and I have shared (and Roger, my stepdad, has been a part of that too.) Never did I ever dream, though, that I would ever actually get to see a Beatle live in concert! I’ll let you know how it goes, and of course take tons of pictures!

Antique-ing Adventure

I went antique-ing with my mom yesterday in downtown Burlington, Kentucky. She lives in that area and downtown Burlington is full of antique shops and restaurants that are in these old buildings that have been restored. It’s a really cool place. So in the first place we went, I found this really cool ashtray advertising for a restaurant called the Gypsy Garden, so of course I bought it (shown above.) And then I found this gorgeous antique cameo necklace at the next place that the owner, Diane, sold to me for half price, and i’m obsessed with cameos so of course I wanted that too. Afterwards, we ate lunch at our favorite local restaurant, the Tousey House. Here are some pictures from our adventure!

Above is a picture of my new cameo. I just got a new iphone so I’m exploring around with Instagram on it. I love the cool pictures you can get with it! Below are pictures of this gorgeous antique dress form that Diane has for sale outside of her shop. I adore it, but at the moment can’t afford it. She had so many beautiful things in her store.. a lot of dishes and so much pretty jewelry (estate jewelry, fine jewelry, costume jewelry, everything!)
At the end of the day we ended up coming back to Tousey House to watch Je-romeo play guitar and eat some delicious food. Below is a picture of Sammy and her mom Teresa at dinnertime (last picture shown.)
